What's In Your Organic Fruit & Veg Box? (11th & 13th March)

What's In Your Organic Fruit & Veg Box? (11th & 13th March)

Get ready for our Veg of the Week for next week's Huckleberry Organic Fruit & Veg Box delivery - Organic Kumara from Dargaville. These sweet spuds are a Kiwi favourite, and we are lucky to source them from a family-owned farm that grows kumara organically and sustainably.

Growing kumara in New Zealand is not easy, as it requires a warm and frost-free climate, a light and sandy soil, and a lot of care and attention. Over the past year, kumara growers faced many challenges, such as Cyclone Gabrielle, pests, diseases, and labour shortages, which affected the yield and quality of the crop.

That's why we are so excited to have these organic kumara from Dargaville back in our boxes, and we hope you are too. They are fresh, flavourful, and full of goodness, and they are grown with respect for the environment and the people who work on the land. We think they are worth every cent, and we can't wait for you to try them.

Here's what you can expect in next week's box (week of March 11th):

  • Bananas
  • Apples - Royal Gala
  • Pears - Bosc
  • Avocado
  • Broccoli
  • Capsicum
  • Carrots
