Interest in hemp is on the rise and for good reason – this plant based oil is rich, nutty and delicate in flavour. It contains a natural and perfectly balanced combination of Essential Fatty Acids, Omega 6 and Omega 3, so is super good for you!
You may have heard of using hemp seed oil in smoothies, dressings, over cereal or in a mash, but did you know it’s also great in sweet treats? This recipe by Eternal Delight shows you how to do just that...
1 cup dried plums (or apricots would be great too)
½ cup raw nuts/seeds
1 tbsp hemp seed oil
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp sea salt
100g dark chocolate
Combine all the ingredients, except the chocolate, in a food processor.
Roll the mixture into 10 balls and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Transfer to the freezer for 30 minutes.
In the meantime melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water.
Gently submerge each ball in the chocolate and return to the baking paper. Store in the fridge until set.
